  • Software update loading into the TEST_PATCHES environment will occur on scheduled day during business hours.<\/li>\n
  • Software update selection will be any new SU\u2019s available on the day the updates are scheduled to be loaded into test (we will no longer wait a month as we have in the past)<\/li>\n
  • For each testing period, ITS will reserve a testing center and invite users to do their software update testing and sign-offs there. \u00a0The testing center will be supervised by ITS staff who will be available to assist in the testing<\/li>\n
  • User testing of software updates is done only in the TEST_PATCHES environment, which is built exclusively for this purpose<\/li>\n
  • Refreshes of the TEST_PATCHES environment will be done quarterly, to maximize validity of testing<\/li>\n
  • Software update loading into the PRODUCTION environment will occur on scheduled day before 8:30 am.<\/li>\n
  • Windows Operating System updates will be loaded monthly, first Friday of the month.<\/li>\n
  • Software updates released for regulatory purposes or for urgent business needs can always be installed off schedule at the request of the Director of the affected department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
