  {"id":79,"date":"2012-07-24T17:45:30","date_gmt":"2012-07-24T17:45:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saintpeters.edu\/onecard\/?page_id=79"},"modified":"2025-04-15T14:38:13","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T18:38:13","slug":"policies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.saintpeters.edu\/onecard\/policies\/","title":{"rendered":"Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>As of November 10, 2011, the following policies apply to requesting a OneCard<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All students must be registered for classes during the current academic term prior to requesting a <strong>OneCard<\/strong>.\u00a0 Faculty, staff, administrators, and contract vendors must be currently employed or under contract by the University.<\/p>\n<p>All customers must show a valid, government-issued photo ID, such as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.nj.us\/mvc\/Licenses\/BasicAutomobile.htm\">driver&#8217;s license<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.nj.us\/mvc\/Licenses\/NonDriverID.htm\">non-driver MVC photo ID<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/passport\/\">passport<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/passport\/ppt_card\/ppt_card_3926.html\">passsport card<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usarc.army.mil\/98thDIV\/Family%20Readiness\/FRG%20on%20the%20WEB\/index_files\/Page317.htm\">military ID<\/a>.\u00a0 If you do not have a photo ID at present, you will need to obtain one prior to visiting the <strong>OneCard <\/strong>office.\u00a0 If this is the case, we recommend visiting the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission, as a non-driver photo ID can be issued same-day for a modest fee.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>OneCard <\/strong>is a photo ID.\u00a0 Please be prepared to visit the <strong>OneCard <\/strong>office in person during regular business hours and to have your photograph taken at that time.\u00a0 It is not an option to have a non-photo ID issued by the University.<\/p>\n<p>There is no fee for your initial <strong>OneCard<\/strong>.\u00a0 However, if you subsequently need to have a replacement card issued, there is a $15 non-refundable fee which must be paid up front.\u00a0 This fee applies to all replacements, including but not limited to those needed due to the card being lost, damaged, for a cosmetic change, or due to wear and tear.\u00a0 It is your responsibility to retain your <strong>OneCard<\/strong>, and keep it protected from damage.\u00a0 Do not punch a hole through the card, as this causes permanent damage and will render the card inoperable.<\/p>\n<p>Customers who have had a <strong>OneCard <\/strong>issued in the past and have changed their role at the University\u00a0will have the replacement fee waived in order to get a new <strong>OneCard <\/strong>issued with the proper credentials.\u00a0 For example, if you have a &#8220;STUDENT&#8221; <strong>OneCard <\/strong>and later graduate with a degree from the University, you may stop by for an &#8220;ALUMNI&#8221; <strong>OneCard <\/strong>free of charge.\u00a0 This courtesy is extended one time only; subsequent card replacements will be subject to the $15 fee.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>For security reasons, Saint Peter&#8217;s University does not mail students OneCards<\/strong>, as this helps safeguard both the student and the university from potential risks. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Your <strong>OneCard <\/strong>is the property of the University\u00a0and may not be used by any person other than the individual to which the card has been issued.\u00a0 You must carry your <strong>OneCard <\/strong>at all times while on Campus and present it, upon request, to University\u00a0officials and Campus Safety officers.\u00a0 Lost or stolen <strong>OneCards <\/strong>should reported to the <strong>OneCard <\/strong>office immediately.<\/p>\n<p>All members of the University\u00a0community may have one active <strong>OneCard <\/strong>only.\u00a0 Once a card is replaced, it is permanently deactivated and cannot be reactivated for any reason.\u00a0\u00a0 In addition, it is not possible to be issued a \u201ctemporary\u201d card in lieu of your <strong>OneCard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Your <strong>OneCard <\/strong>is valid while you continue to be enrolled or employed by the University.\u00a0 Once that role is completed, your <strong>OneCard <\/strong>will be disabled and you will no longer be entitled to Campus privileges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of November 10, 2011, the following policies apply to requesting a OneCard All students must be registered for classes during the current academic term prior to requesting a OneCard.\u00a0 Faculty, staff, administrators, and contract vendors must be currently employed or under contract by the University.
