Please read the Acceptable Use Policy below, which is also posted on the gateway itself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acceptable Use Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The gateway has been configured and tested to work with the following devices connected wirelessly \u2013 <strong>Nintendo Wii, the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Xbox One, the Sony Playstation 3 and Playstation 4<\/strong>. In addition, Amazon FireStick, Apple TV &amp; Internet SmartTVs now work on the SPUG wireless network at the Residence Halls.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The following will not work on our University wireless network:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wireless printers<\/li>\n<li>ChromeCast<\/li>\n<li>Amazon Echo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>By registering your device, you are agreeing to the terms of this policy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you experience any difficulty or have a question about the use of this gateway, please e-mail <a href=\"mailto:servicedesk@saintpeters.edu\"><em>servicedesk@saintpeters.edu<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>You do not have to follow the instructions below if you are connecting your device through a wired connection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For laptops, Microsoft Surface, Intel ComputeStick, tablets &amp; smartphones, follow this set of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saintpeters.edu\/its\/documentation\/laptop-only-wireless-registration\/\">instructions<\/a> instead.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Below are the instructions for connecting your gaming console to the Wi-Fi network:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Register your gaming device. Using a PC or Mac, point your browser to <a href=\"https:\/\/spug.saintpeters.edu\">https:\/\/spug.saintpeters.edu<\/a>. The Device ID is the <strong>Wireless MAC address<\/strong> of your device. You can configure the network settings on your gaming console.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to \u00a0Network settings<\/li>\n<li>Select Manual Setup<\/li>\n<li>Enter\u00a0SPUG\u00a0(all capital letters) for the name of the SSID<\/li>\n<li>Configure the SSID with <strong>No Security<\/strong> or <strong>Security: None<\/strong>, automatic DNS, no DHCP server, no Proxy server.<\/li>\n<li>Save these settings and test your network connection. Your test should be successful.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please Note! It may take more than an hour for the changes to take effect. In the past, Resident students reported that the status &#8220;not registered&#8221; on the SPUG portal doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean that your device is still offline.
