2026 Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges
Saint Peters University has once again been named to The Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges 2026. This recognition is one that the University has achieved consistently over the years, showcasing the importance of sustainability both in the community and in the values of Jesuit education.
2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement
The American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching announced today that Saint Peters University has met the criteria for the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement. Saint Peters is one of only 277 institutions nationwide with this designation.
2026 Highest-Ranked in New Jersey for Social Mobility
Saint Peters University has once again achieved top recognition in the泭U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges泭rankings, earning the distinction of #1 in New Jersey for both Social Mobility and Best Value in the Regional Universities North category. These dual honors highlight the Universitys extraordinary success in delivering an education that is both transformative and accessible, one that elevates students and communities while remaining within reach for families.
Washington Monthlys 2025 College Guide and Rankings
Saint Peters University has achieved several new milestones in Washington Monthlys 2025 College Guide and Rankings, earning recognition as one of the Top 20 Hispanic-Serving Institutions nationwide, a Top 50 ranking nationwide (#44) among all masters universities and a Top 50 spot for Best Bang for Your Buck institution. Unlike traditional rankings that focus primarily on wealth and prestige, Washington Monthly evaluates colleges based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research and promoting public service.
2025 Highest-Ranked in New Jersey for Social Mobility
Saint Peters University has continued its impressive climb in the annual U.S. News & World Report rankings of colleges and universities, being recognized as the leader in New Jersey among institutions in the Regional Universities North category for social mobility. In addition, Saint Peters is now ranked 39th overall following an increase of six places since last year. The University is also ranked among the top ten on the Best Value Schools list and has increased to 15th on the Best Colleges for Veterans list.
2025 Environmentally Responsible College
Saint Peters University was named one of the most environmentally responsible colleges in the country according to The Princeton Review. The University was included in The Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges: 2025 Edition, which profiles 511 institutions that were selected for their exceptional programs, policies and practices related to sustainability and the environment.
2024 First Carnegie Leadership for Public Purpose Classification
Saint Peters is proud to announce it is one of the 25 U.S. colleges and universities to receive the first Carnegie Leadership for Public Purpose Classification. This elective designation is awarded by the American Council on Education (ACE), the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
2024 Top-Ranked for Best for Vets in New Jersey and 14th Overall
Saint Peters University is proud to announce its recognition as the top-ranked university in New Jersey and 14th overall in the nation on Military Times 2024 Best for Vets: Colleges rankings. This annual ranking provides the largest and most comprehensive list of top colleges and universities that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting military service members, veterans and their families.
2024 Top 50 Universities in Regional North Category in U.S. News & World Report
Saint Peters University has continued its impressive climb in the annual U.S. News and World Report rankings of colleges and universities by joining the top 50 universities in the Regional North category. The University is now ranked 45th following an increase of 13 places since last year. This ranking is the highest the University has ever placed with U.S. News & World Report. Saint Peters is also ranked 3rd on the Best Value Schools list top ranked among New Jersey institutions and 6th for social mobility in the Regional North category. Additionally, the University garnered an accolade for Best College for Veterans.
2023 First U.S. Laudato Si Champions Awards
Saint Peters University is proud to announce that it was recognized by the Catholic Climate Covenant in the organizations first U.S. Laudato Si Champions Awards. The Laudato Si Champions Awards recognize institutions across the United States that have made outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability and stewardship.

Saint Peters was ranked among the top three in the Colleges/Universities category, M.B.A. Program category and the Accounting Degree Program category.
2022 Top-Ten for Best Value in New Jersey and 6th in Regional North
Saint Peters is proud to announce that the University was recognized among the top ten for best value institutions and 6th in the Regional Universities North category in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings. Saint Peters also held its place of 58th in the Regional Universities North category overall, after making a considerable climb last year. In addition, the University was recognized for its excellence in social mobility and economic diversity.
2022 Military Friendly School Designation
Saint Peters University is proud to announce that it has earned the 2022-2023 Military Friendly簧 School designation. Military Friendly簧 is the standard that measures an organizations commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunities for the military community. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2022-2023 survey with 665 earning special awards for going above the standard. Saint Peters earned a silver designation on the list of private universities offering doctorate degrees.
